I’m emotionally drained guys. This show was (past tense is intentional for me) too campy for me to get me this worked up. On one hand I’m embarrassed because…it’s ouat. On the other, I mean, I watch other shows that are pretty dark (Walking Dead, Game of Thrones) so I know shock (Red Wedding) and happy endings don’t come in a perfect bow. But the difference is the writing during those moments were supported by great writing. This wasn’t great writing. This was a convoluted mess that was thrown at the last minute to appease the obvious. There was no substance behind this. No build up. No airtime. Disregard of Neal’s feelings on the use of dark magic. Like, what? Planned since the summer? Why didn’t they just allow Neal to find Emma in NYC and have them bond with their son and get a taste of their Tallahassee before pulling the rug if they planned on killing him. Senseless. All for a name? They went out and killed Baelfire. Baelfire. The one poor s.o.b. who was too selfless his entire life.

Agreed, why we’re so worked up is because it was just a needless death that furthered the miniscule plot. Not give any real significance to the character or story overall… at least with those other shows they had build up and it felt like it paid off more then this…
