Back in S1x19 The Return, Blue clearly tells Baelfire that what ails his father isn’t from this world (meaning Dark Curse isn’t from the EF).  Let’s put aside all the “sneaky fairy” theories and go with Blue never being able to lie.  She clearly told Rumple this in the same episode.  So far she hasn’t lied.  She’s skirted around the truth but has never told a lie. Yet, in Sx15, Quiet Minds, there they were, in a clearing somewhere in the middle of the EF and there was the Dark One’s Vault.  This is where the first Dark One originated from.  Not from some other land or realm, but from a vault set smack dab in the middle of the EF.  Note that it wasn’t called a portal so for me that would be a weak explanation.  A vault is clearly a vault.  A safe haven for Dark Ones.

So, did the writers mess up?  Does Blue lie?  Lumiere didn’t lie about the Dark One’s Vault because Rumple was resurrected from it.

Blue does lie. She lied to Snowing about the wardrobe only taking one. Blue lied about not having her wand in Broken because she had it in Queen is Dead. And in 311, she had the Black fairy’s wand.

Just what I thought.   They must think we are all unintellegent fans who have fallen off the turnip truck.  Sigh………..

This is where I have to politely disagree.  She didn’t lie.  When she told Snowing about the wardrobe, she had already agreed with Geppetto that Pino would go.  So, in reality, by the time she told Snowing, only one other could go.

As for her wand, a lot could have happened between S2x01 and S3x11.  I’m thinking she got it back from Gold’s pawnshop.

This is a really good question. And an interesting one too. I do think Blue lies (but then, I don’t trust Blue, so maybe I’m just biased. Come to think of it, where IS Blue anyway? She seems to be very selective in who/when she decides to help out).

Buuut, on the other hand, there doesn’t seem much reason for her to lie about this (unless it’s all part of a larger setup where she tried to get Baelfire to leave the Enchanted Forest in order to get rid of the Dark one and allright, allright, I’ll stop being paranoid now!)

Most likely the curse really did come from outside of the EF. The vault might be there, but that doesn’t mean that whoever or whatever created it, came from there too. The whole introduction of the vault has raised my hopes that the writers are planning to go into the origins of the Dark One (if not this season, then perhaps in season 4).
    That’s bound to be interesting!

Maybe the inhabitants of the Enchanted Forest (the fairies? Blue?) locked up some sort of otherworldly evil there, a long time ago, which became the source of the dark one. (I know, I’m just reaching here).

Gotta agree with RG on this one!

Or to put it more subtly –

Remember, the show writes primarily for the ‘casual viewer’.  The casual viewer likely does not remember in so-and-so episode this happened, so when we need to change it for the current story, no one will notice…

So yeah, like RG said – PLOT.  😉

They might have messed up there I guess. But where Again are we told that Blue is not able to tell lies? and by whom? I dont remember that.

Not sure we were told that. But even if she doesn’t straight-up lie, she’s at least been known to twist the truth to suit the needs of the moment. (e.g. with the wardrobe)

Blue said she doesn’t tell lies………….which is exactly what a liar would say.
