Adam’s tweet about how Neal really did deserve a happy ending made me rage. YOU WERE WRITING HIM ONE. Why did you stop!? This whole thing just reeks of network or media interference to me and I’m sorry to say that (makes me sound cynical) but seriously, this has been almost like a different show since it came back from hiatus. It started off great and has been slowly going WTH ever since The Tower. It’s like they took everything from S3A and erased it so they can do S3B. That’s not the way ONE WHOLE SEASON works on TV guys. At least with seasons 1 & 2, the stories built on top of each other but this year has been one giant mess of weirdness at times. Networks are so desperate for ratings these days and my current theory as to what happened here is that they saw what was going on in the media and with the fans, then ABC stuck their noses in and told them what they needed to do to their show in order to secure a fourth season, so they caved in to all the pressure and got rid of ‘the problem’ (aka, Neal’s whole presence on the show). This is NOT the story they were writing just a few months ago in NL. There is SUCH a difference in between how the cast was on Twitter and in articles prior to this arc and how they all are now. Part of me seriously wonders if they were told of this new show direction and aren’t happy with it (hence the severe lack of tweets in the last week…silent protest) and part of me wonders if they’ve just lost their own spark for the show after almost three years and just don’t care that much anymore. It’s so odd but I can’t shake the feeling that SOMETHING has happened behind the scenes of this show that has totally tanked everyone and changed them from the wonderful fan friendly cast that they always were to this more quiet, subdued cast that doesn’t interact much anymore. I also wonder if the hatred and vitriol in the fandom has finally worn most of them down. The most active tweeters now are the more newish members and when the others are tweeting, they aren’t saying much about the show anymore. I don’t know. Maybe I’m reaching and still annoyed by how everything went down with Neal’s episode but something just isn’t right out there and I can’t put my finger on it. No way will MRJ or anyone else say anything though because I do believe they all have enough class to not bring the show down by airing any dirty laundry, but I can’t help wondering if things are going to hit the fan during the summer hiatus and we found out some interesting stories. BTW-My week improved in one way (Elizabeth Mitchell’s character was NOT the death on Revolution last night. WOO HOO!) but didn’t in another (my Reds game last night was rain delayed SO long that we ended up having to leave early and then my favorite player on the team hit is 1000th hit in his first at bat so I MISSED IT. BOO HOO) so I’m still waiting for the good karma and vibes to come back this week. It’s been an emotionally draining one for me and I’m kind of glad I’m going out of town this weekend. I think it will allow me some time to recharge and finally exhale after what’s been a very long week.
To this i applaud, this is waht i think too, for example, the bowl of soup bt cast last year, and the diference btw cast this year, they dont talk and joke anymore with each other, also on 314 and 315 the main cast never live tweet, and by main i say josh, ginny, lana and jen, the only persons live tweeting were a strange choice, sean, jared, emilie , colin ad bex, and this last was doing a ask bex bc never mentioned nothing about the epi. I do feel that something is off, for example last year we got the juice details of meghan on summer hiatus, maybe we will get more about it after the show end or even after the final season, the more the day passes the more i think was actor asking out, maybe the network push them to make neal story lame in order to be the actor asking out so that they wouldnt be the bad ones, and maybe is bc of that the silence is happening,even MRj had to come doing damage control, and only after adam spoke, then the whole rumours that MRJ knew about it, probably adam telling, and i mean when an actor has to come and explain himself bc his character was killed, that to me tells me that something was going wrong, and last year, MRJ used to publicity the show every sunday, starting S3A was more the sundays he would say anything than the ones we used to publicity, not even on this last sunday that was his last episode, still dont get how the pics of MRJ and jen were taking on 8 jan, the filming the death scene, guess that back them maybe the crew would think they would bring him back and only when the filmed the funeral scene was showned that the caracter wouldnt came back, and that was when the PA spoke and on the same day they spoke to matt and the other media, bc now i think the reason why no one made any neal questions, was bc they all knew he was dying.
