@Slurpeez108: I’m actually really confused about all of that: 1) Neal remembers sending a message to Hook to get Emma? 2) But Neal doesn’t remember the last year in the EF or that he and Rumple have merged. So…bad writing?
We saw how Neal and Rumple initially became became conjoined in the Enchanted Forest. That was probably early on in the missing year before the events of SB. Rumple preserved Neal’s consciousness in himself. Two souls in one body. I think Neal couldn’t remember anything about being conjoined in Rumple’s body or how he got to SB because he’d been sharing a body with his father. So when Rumple was awake, Neal was asleep. When Neal was awake, Rumple was asleep. But that doesn’t mean Neal couldn’t remember anything about the missing year. Neal/Rumple may have not been cursed by Zelena, because Rumple was fully aware who Zelena was. It’s possible that Neal could’ve escaped the curse too, and so his memories of the missing year were partially in tact. Yet, Neal’s memories may have been clouded by sharing a mind with his dad, much like Rumple was a bit mad from all the voices. Neal may have even emerged during the missing year to send a message to Hook to get to Emma. Neal/Rumple was aware the Zelena was about to unleash a powerful curse that would endanger Emma’s family. Hence, Neal/Rumple might’ve escaped long enough to elude Zelena while still in the EF. Zelena couldn’t fully control Rumple as long as Neal was sharing his father’s body. The first time Neal emerged in SB was the day that Rumple went missing. That means that Neal’s awareness switched on the day he burst into Mr. Gold’s shop and Rumple went to sleep. Later, in the woods, we saw how Neal and Mr. Gold’s faces were competing to emerge. Two souls trapped in one body. That is when Neal asked Emma to release him so that his father’s mind could be at peace and identify the Wicked Witch as Zelena. All the voices in Rumple’s head that wouldn’t be silenced until Neal was dead.
That was a thing i never understood, so the vault request a life for a life, so that means that neal is inside the vault where rumple was? and about his body, to merge the body has to be like a shadow of the real body, like the body is nor exactly there, but inside the vault, bc if was souls that means that the true body was in the EF? and what about malcom, we dint saw his body also on SB 311, he went with rumple to the vault? also if they share souls can this means that rumple will remenber some of neal memories? so many questions, see this is why they could make this for some epi so that we could understand, how two physical bodys can merg into one, my understanding of this is that neal body became a shadow copy( and using vampire diaries code name doupleganger) of the real one, that was left behind on Ef of on the vault, i dont understand anything of this.
Maybe any of you can explain this better to me.
