When they had the first scene with Regina reading it, I actually got really excited because I thought Regina had found some letter that Rumple wrote her mother when they were having their magical training lessons/affair before she married Henry Sr., and that Regina was going to (falsely) believe that Zelena was the product of a Rumple/Cora affair.
I have always wanted Regina to find out about the Rumple/Cora affair in a really dramatic~ way and confront him. I think it’s a major waste of mining interesting, existing drama.
What the letter was actually about was pretty lame.
