I just had a thought as to what could possibly happen to Zelena at the end of the season. We finally know what her end goal is…to undo Regina’s birth and to have a second chance at life. However, as Rumple stated….All magic comes with a price.
So perhaps that Zelena does end up time traveling as we were shown in the Season Finale Pics of everyone in FTL…but here’s the price, by undoing Regina’s birth….karma or some other unnamed force undoes Zelena’s birth as well. Almost as if she was never born. Thus her digging a ditch to undo Regina, she should dig two for herself.
And we all know that magic comes with a heavy price to pay, something Zelena needs to learn herself.

I posted something similar over in the thread about how Zelena wants to “baelfire” Regina, but that whole concept is more like unraveling past events of someone’s life in order to change the present. So Zelena could “baelfire” Regina out of existence, then they could turn it around on her and “baelfire” Zelena’s life back to the point where she was about to come to Regina’s castle, but the good guys would still have their memories of everything that came after that point, even though it had now been undone, so they could be ready and waiting for Zelena this time and defeat her.
