And MRJ makes even more money as yet another episode goes by where he has to be listed in the credits, since he’s still a full time cast member, even though he won’t be appearing in the episode at all. I’m not gonna lie…..as much as that sucks to know (I’d rather him be ON my TV screen), I’d really enjoy that type of job right now, LOL #moneyfornothing
I dunno how TV contracts typically work. Like, I know Meghan was in the opening credits for the whole of S2 (just checked and she was still there in 222), but hers was a case of the character getting sidelined, not killed, and it was a development mid-season, so it’d make sense that they’d still pay her out as per contract because they screwed her over. But if Neal’s death was planned pre-season, is that a thing that would warrant altering MRJ’s contract if he’s already signed one for the full season previously? Or do contracts not get re-negotiated like that, so they were stuck with paying him a full season anyway?
Well can be that if they decided to do before season but to avoid spoilers they simply decided to make him a full year contract, especially because he wouldnt be able to look for anything else is like a compensation, but maybe Lisa knows the better about tv contracts.
