This one really touched my heart. It’s a really excellent song whose lyrics speak from Emma’s perspective as she laid Neal to rest. It’s beautiful and tragic all at once. I really think when Emma buried Neal, she buried her idea of happily ever after. Neal was her true love, the father of her son, and her dear friend. She loved him and she always will. Her heart may begin to heal in time, but there will always be an ache in the pit of her stomach when she thinks about what could have and should have been.
