Okay, so this episode really gave me some insight into Cora. It made me realize that everything she did EVER was to get back at Eva. Yes, she did love Regina (as much as you can love someone without a heart which, according to this episode, you can), but everything she did had a double meaning. I’ll list my reasons here:

    1. She paired Regina with Leo because, knowing Leo wouldn’t take her after the whole stealing incident, she wanted someone to replace Eva, the one who ruined her first chance at royalty.
    2. She killed Johanna because she was close to Eva (unless Johanna really was  working with Cora and she just wanted to dispose of her servant).
    3. She worked effortlessly to kill Snow and Emma because they were descendants of Eva, reminding Cora of her failures.

This is just my quick theory. Hope you guys like it!

I think your theory is strong. Last night on podcast, Jeremy and Erin mentioned that it seemed like when Eva came into the room where Cora and Leo were, Cora already knew Eva somehow. As if the history between these two was much deeper than we know.

Cora is still a brat though.

I really hope the show continues to delve into Cora/Eva’s history together. Eva was a brat too when she was younger but adult Eva is totally different from younger Eva. I want to see what changed her.
