Hi everyone! I have an interest in psychology in general, and in particular baby/child development, care, and educational psychology. I was wondering if any parents out there could share any research they’ve done on these subjects, and would be grateful if you pointed me in the right direction. Also, if there are any qualified/learning child/educational psychologists out there who would be kind enough to point me to some relevant psychologists and/or studies then that would be great too!

Thing I’m looking for are programs (like baby yoga), books/packs for parents wishing to give their child a head-start in education (like ‘Your child can read’), shows available on YouTube (such as the ‘bringing up baby’ series;  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mSbrA3eO8A4), websites which sell educational (specifically science) toys, studies (such as Myrtle McGraw’s Twin study of Johnny and Jimmy 1930-42), any childrearing philosophies (such as the Continuum Concept by Jean Liedloff), etc. Pretty much anything and everything to do with child care, development, and early education.

    Thanks!

That’s a pretty general request…I’m not even sure where to start with that. You might want to narrow your focus to a certain age group or type of educational program.

My five year old does use abcmouse.com just to help him with pre k. When he was younger we went to the library where they would have story and song time. Also when he was three years old I bought some preschool work books we did daily.

Time to hide your crazy, and start acting like a lady.

Thanks Tabsicle! abcmouse.com sounds like the type of thing I’m looking for. Anything else you can think of would be great 🙂
