    Tonight we met Glinda the good witch of the south who was banished by Zelena.

    Why do you think she was banished? And what was the relationship between Zelena and Glinda like?

    My guess is that when Zelena took over OZ, Glinda tried to stop her and found out her magic wasn’t strong enough. Zelena then banished Glinda to FTL to prevent her from causing any issues in OZ perhaps after Dorothy tried to melt Zelena.

    I think they were really good friends but Zelena got very ambitious after the events of 316 and Glinda couldn’t abide that.

    Glinda was kind of a dud. She’s the most powerful witch in the book and here she’s all like, oh well sorry, I’m banished, can’t help you. I hope she will play a bigger role in the demise of Zelena than we’ve seen so far, but since we know it’s all up to Emma to defeat her, I think she’ll be of little help.

    Definitely a dud. A plot device dud in the vein of Convenient Plot Device Blue Fairy.

    Yeah they definitely downplayed how powerful Glinda is supposed to be for the sake of elevating Zelena.

    Still, I think there might be more to her: she gave Zelena the necklace to channel her power so maybe she’s much more powerful than we think.
