Only those of Pure Heart could reach Glinda, which allowed Snow and Charming through. However we know that Snow’s heart has been touched by darkness after she killed Cora. Snow has been trying to return to her pure actions since but we haven’t heard if it possible to remove the spot.
So does this mean that someone of pure heart can be touched by darkness as long as they fight against it or has Snow’s heart been healed? I am thinking that it is more likely the former given Glinda’s comment about Regina wanting vengeance but I was really expecting that Snow might have walked straight through the door just like Regina.

What makes this even more perplexing is that it came hot on the heels of an ep where we were reminded all about how Snow is a murderer.

Yeah @Phee that really bothers me. All last episode was about how Snow was Cora’s murderer and now it’s “purest heart” and it doesn’t flow together.

Who do you think got the half of heart with the dark spot in, Snow or Charming?

Did they say you have to be “purest” of heart?  Or pure of heart?  In comparison to many on the show, Snow is still pure of heart.  Even her murder was for the greater good.  And she has and continued to try to atone for murdering Cora.  Most importantly, I think, she continues to try to atone for her actions, even though she knows she never will be able to completely.  I think that’s what makes a person pure – not prior acts, everyone has those, but the desire and attempt to truly be and do good in the now and future.

That is a good point Jenna, I just rewatched that bit and it was Pure of Heart which might be a loophole to work with.

If that dark spot still exists, then I would think it’d go to Snow since she is technically the one who committed the crime

RG, logically that is true but Regina didn’t seem to be looking too closely at what half went into which body, it looks like sheer luck.
