@Baelfireliveson I’m also a long time lurker on this thread but I have a very different opinion. I love this thread so I might be a bit biased but here is what I think personally:
We all love the actors and actresses on OUAT, there is no doubt about that. If we express our feelings (positive or negative) towards certain characters, we are not saying that we dislike the actor or anything as such. We are simply unhappy with the way the story and the character is being written. It is important to discuss the character because eventually the writers will be sending a message to the audience using these characters. So If the show is portraying a character as a hero while there has hardly been any efforts to redeem the character fully (to put the character on the redemption road because he wants to change and become a good person to right his wrongs, and not because he wants to get the girl), I think it’s important to point these things out because a show about happy endings should not be sending the message that you can easily get your happy ending (even easier than everyone else) even if you haven’t learnt form your past mistakes and haven’t redeemed yourself.
