Fact of the matter is we don’t know if Regina executed Marian in the original timeline, it was only implied by Marian that that was to happen. Something might have distracted Regina from doing it or perhaps she could have been payment to that sheriff guy, the one that was after Lacey’s.
Or perhaps Regina did have Marian executed. Fact of the matter is we don’t know that Regina didn’t execute Marian in the original timeline. All we have to go on is the evidence presented by the show which appears to point to Marian being executed by Regina.
For all we know Robin could have saved her from that fate only for her to die in some other way. The fact of the matter is that we don’t know, that story was never told and will probably never be told since Emma has gone and changed that story.
If Robin had saved Marian from that fate then he would’ve known that Regina had Marian held captive and planned to execute her.
You cannot hold Regina accountable for something you’re not sure happened and now never did happen. Regina’s heart has been broken once again and I agree there is now two new Snow Queens in Storybrooke.
It is strongly implied that that is what happened and you can’t be sure that it didn’t happen. Until we get further evidence that proves otherwise, the show is strongly suggesting that Regina did have Marian executed and the only reason why Marian isn’t dead now is because Emma saved her, meaning Regina then didn’t murder her.
Question is, where do you stand? Regina had Marian executed in the original timeline. However, since Emma saved Marian, Regina didn’t have Marian executed in the altered timeline. Do you judge Regina’s actions on the original timeline or the altered timeline?
