I told TheWatcher this tale and she told me to post it here, so I did! 😀

I had a weird ouat dream the other night, where Elsa went on a rampage after finding out that her love, Merida, used to be in Storybrooke, and her torment was being trapped in a loveless marriage with an abusive husband, until she took her own life. I woke up crying as I switched from being a spectator of my dream to playing the part of Elsa. It was so sad, she was devastated and heartbroken. She blamed Regina more than the abusive husband because his torment, as a gay man, was to be trapped in a heterosexual marriage too (not that that excuses him in my mind, but Elsa seemed ok with letting him get away with it). I think Blue was trying to tell Elsa something but I woke up too soon. So lying awake I thought that perhaps Merida was alive, and was living in the convent after faking her death to try and escape her husband.

I would love it if this were to happen in ouat, it simply oozes angst! It definitely made me cry :'(

Felie, thats a really interesting idea :o

I agree, that would be a very interesting scenario for the show Felie. If it doesn’t happen, there needs to be a fanfiction about it.

I agree that would be an interesting scenario

That’s a much stronger issue and more important issue than an acceptance storyline

If you think about it it’s a win-win for the neighbouring kingdom(s) who gets to breed with the queen(s);

Say kingdom A had two queens and queen 1 had a child with a prince from kingdom B, and queen 2 had a child with a prince from kingdom C. Then the princes B and C married princesses from kingdoms D and E. That’s five kingdoms who are allied by blood now, and in the end the offspring of one of the princes’ will rule AL LEAST two kingdoms (if all goes well)! Happy days all round, especially for kingdoms who’s royal family only have one male heir and no daughters, since he can rule his kingdom with his family AND have his offspring guaranteed to rule another one (again, if all goes well). It’s kind of like when princesses are sent to marry the sons of neighbouring kings to create alliances (How much more complicated would it be if we added this little gem of alliance-making to the mix? XD), It could be used as a way to create blood-ties with other kingdoms. And suddenly homosexuality seems a lot more appealing to royal families in FTL…
