No, not “obvious” like it’s a fact. Chemistry, sexual tension, and the interpretation that CSers read into Emma’s actions is all SUBJECTIVE. I could go through each of those gifs and give you a perfectly legit interpretation from my POV that just happens to be contrary to yours. And that’s fine, everyone is entitled to their subjective lens. a CSer would say that she saved Hook because she secretly loves him. A non-CSer will say that she saved Hook simply because she’s a decent person who doesn’t want other people to die, no matter who they are. If you want “obvious” how about “It was a one time thing,” “Next time curse the lips of someone I wanna kiss,” or the multiple times she flat out said that she loves Neal. Emma’s words matter.
As for the rape culture argument, there are many people who have been in a position in their lives where a guy won’t take no for an answer. It runs the spectrum of minor annoyance, to recent events in the news. And frankly, if someone watches the show and sees how Hook and Emma interact, and it triggers something for them because of an upsetting situation they’ve been in in real life that affected them on a deep, sometimes troubling, emotional level, it’s no one’s place to tell them they are wrong for feeling that way.
