Strange Markings on Regina's chest in Lost Girl

These strange markings only show up for second…then they are gone. I’ve noticed this on other characters…not markings but colors bleeding through. Regina’s markings bring to mind an episode of Star Trek Next Generation called Identity Crisis. I see several possibilities with Regina. Either she has removed her heart, but yet can still bleed or someone is bleeding through…possessing/sharing her body. I’ve seen many instances of “bleeding through” where there will be a flash of color or something very off about the character. I think Cora is not dead and is a spirit moving in and out of people.
