Can you give us any scoop on Once Upon a Time’s Regina, please? We need something to cheer us up! –Ana
Well, when I asked The Boys about the Regina/Robin Hood/Marian love triangle presumably on tap for Season 4, Adam Horowitz was quick to retort, “Who says we’re doing a love triangle?” He then explained, “Hopefully it becomes less about the relationship itself and more about Regina [and] open the door to who she is and what she’s going to become.” (Anything further on the topic will have to wait for TVLine’s Fall Preview Spectacular, coming soon.)

Do you have any info on Belle’s mom on Once Upon a Time? –Natalie
Debuting in an Episode 6 flashback, Ma Belle Belle’s ma is described as “a strong-willed, spirited woman” who carries herself with grace and aplomb – even under the most trying circumstances. She’ll also boast a natural European accent, if casting has their druthers.

    druthers

This word. Never heard it before.

    – even under the most trying circumstances

Why do I get the feeling momma Belle is gonna bite the dust 🙁

Adam Horowitz was quick to retort, “Who says we’re doing a love triangle?” He then explained, “Hopefully it becomes less about the relationship itself and more about Regina [and] open the door to who she is and what she’s going to become.”

Sounds interesting. Perhaps this is only going to push Regina down the road of heroism and instead of further back into villainy. Somehow…

If I wasn’t in a public place when I read this article initially, I’d laugh out loud, very loudly.

I loved Adam’s response to the love triangle question. The media should know by now, Adam and Eddy hate the concept of a love triangle. It’s not about the triangle, it’s about the person.

Love triangles are for soaps. Even there, sometimes, it’s not even a love triangle.  Sometimes, it’s a quadrangle. (Reign likes to do those).

So, we’ll get Belle’s backstory in 3.06, hopefully that means we’ll be hearing a casting announcement soon for her mom.

Watcher, “druthers” means someone’s personal preference.  As in “If I had my druthers, I’d want it to stay warm all through winter.”  😀

I think I first heard that word in a song from the musical “Li’l Abner” when I went to see a friend’s production in high school; there’s a song in it called “If I had my druthers”. The word comes from a shortening of of “I’d rather…”

But yeah, I assume Belle’s mother is going to die because she’s dead in the Disney movie, isn’t she? I guess we never really know that for sure, but we never see her. I’m definitely looking forward to getting some more of Belle’s backstory! 🙂

I think she is in the Disney movie… What about in the original fairytale? Is Belle’s mother alive there?

I don’t remember Belle’s mom present in the Disney movie. Only Maurice, her father. I watched Fairytale Theatre version of Beauty and the Beast. I remember Belle’s father was single in there too but with two spoiled sisters. I haven’t read the original story.

But knowing these stories, there might not be a mom. So this would be a Once first.
