Anyone ever read “The Tale of Two Cities”. That book is fantastic, but there are various plot lines that seem to have nothing to do with each other at first. But in the end intersect and make a fascinating story. Like KFC said, it appears to “meander” but it really doesn’t. There was a rhyme and reason. However, as she also stated, Once’s “meandering” is just bad story telling. They might have once had an overarching story to tell, but they let popularity, fandom and ratings get in the way of their vision. So while a lot of the GA probably feel all these loose ends will come together eventually, we realize they never will because there is no path, no way.

Maybe I’m just bitter. We have watched a lot of television in the past year that has no ending, no conclusion to anything. Limited run series that just end in confusion. What happened to closure? Why can’t questions actually be answered? I’m all for leaving some things ambiguous, but don’t lead me on an epic journey for naught. I don’t like this trend. I have the feeling if it were up to a studio or publisher today that Harry Potter would end in us never knowing if Voldemort was defeated or it would turn Harry into a villain. I just want to get back to good storytelling that makes me think it was time well spent.
