Mayor White

Snow is now the Mayor of Storybrooke–says Grumpy and Granny and Happy. Will Snow stay the Mayor? Do you think she is up to the task? Should Snow be mayor?

Now that that’s out of my system….I think Snow is only temporary mayor until Regina comes around. It parallels Anna having to come in charge when Elsa went into isolation so around 2×11 when the Frozen Arc ends, I predict that Regina becomes mayor again as Snow will be more focused on being a mother to her second born, and actually take time off work to focus on motherhood.

I agree. It’s only temporary. So much for maternity leave…

Snow presses buttons in power stations because she can’t read the manual and she wants to see what the buttons do. That’s a sign she’s not competent to hold any authority.

To be fair, her princess training was cut off early when Regina tried to kill her, so she didn’t necessarily learn everything about ruling a kingdom before she was actually in charge (and then only for a year or two before the curse, and a year where she’s under constant threat after they go back). Her Storybrooke persona was given knowledge about being an elementary school teacher, not a mayor or electrician. So it makes sense she might not be completely ready to rule a town. But she and David ARE the people that Storybrooke runs to; they are the heirs to two kingdoms at least (Leopold’s and George’s). (Why, say, Thomas’s dad–an actual king too–doesn’t get more “HELP HELP” runs is purely a matter of who our main characters are, I think. And anyway, they ran to the Charmings for help even back in the EF.)

1. Ummm….Snow White was around 21-24 when she went on the run….the girl was too busy picking flowers and singing to birds rather than learning what it takes to run a kingdom. Elsa had all of that down pack by the time she was 21. So Regina cutting off her princess training, which should have already been completed had Snow not been so ditzy and childlike, is not really an excuse….

2. Exactly! Her Storybrooke persona is supposed to teach, not be Mayor! That is like having an electrician instead be a plumber all of a sudden….it just wouldn’t work.  Hopefully Snow just goes back to teaching by the winter finale because just as 3×03 states she’s gonna be really struggling being a Mayor….

3. Ok….Storybrooke may run to David and Snow, but David and Snow always runs to who….Rumple and Regina! As we saw last night, although Snow running to Regina was a deleted scene, it still happened…..and Rumple and Regina obviously made a great team considering Rumple owns everything in SB, and Regina’s been doing a great job running SB, both for 30 years! No one makes a better team than those two!

Regina has been mayor for 30 years and a Queen before that. she remembers all those years and events, she probably didn’t use much vacation time except when Henry was probably sick. So the poor girl needs a break! Being a single parent & running a town I can imagine would be pretty draining for anyone. I bet she’ll be back stronger then ever. 🙂
