After hearing some feedback on ways to do community building, I think this thread is an ideal place to start.
Here are the rules:
1)only positive things. It can be a character, it can be a ship, it can be an episode, it can be the sprinkles on Henry’s cupcake! Just anything that you love about ONCE.
2) No negativity! None!
3) You can respond to people’s posts if you are equally positive about what they said. But no “ugh, I hated that moment/ship/episode/character”

And of course….hearing back in Summer 2011 that a show was being made about how one of my favorite Disney Villains, The Evil Queen cast a curse that brought everyone to our world….this was a show I couldn’t afford to miss! 😛

I love Once Upon A Time because I was intrigued from the beginning with the concept of a crossover fairy tale show, especially since they’re allowed to use Disney names and concepts. I’m a huge Disney fan, and I’ve seen this done before in a different manner via the Kingdom Hearts franchise.
I love OUAT because of Skin Deep. Even years later, I think it’s one of the finest hours that OUAT has given its fans.

From costumes to set designs and music, it’s just beautiful to watch. Snow, gorgeous beyond belief in her bandit costumes. Charming, dashing in his splendid red cape. Red was lovely to watch with Snow. Maleficent, Cora, Elsa, Anna, all beautiful actresses dressed in magnificent costumes. Snow Queen, creepy, mysterious, what’s wrong with her, why is she here, gorgeous, lovely and mesmerizing. I just love it so much.
Regina, stunningly beautiful in all her wicked glory. When she has an idea, or an emotion, she doesn’t have to say a word, i feel it. When she smiles that evil fake half smile, and I know she’s got an evil idea brewing, it’s just so darn beautiful to watch. And when she’s soft, tender loving or vulnerable, you feel it. It’s in her eyes, and it touches my soul.
And Rumpelstiltzkin. His voice is like music, his mannerisms like a dance, masterful, cunning and beautifully acted. Regardless of where his storyline takes him, he’s dashing as Mr. Gold. The way he hides his intents, his truths and motivations just below the surface so you’re never quite certain if he’s being truthful or not, for me, it’s just gloriously beautiful to watch.
IDEA! Let’s all try to post one thing in here a day. Keep up the momentum.
Today, October 22, I love OUAT because it gave me Nealfire. When he first appeared on my screen in 201, I giggled hysterically and yelled “Hi, Bae!!!” I just knew. I knew it was him. And then for that brief span of time when he was on my screen, I saw that he was so sad and so broken and something inside me broke for him and I knew that he’d forever be my guy. Then as we got to know him and see his life, I empathized the heck out of him. It was like they were taking pages from my own life to use for him and he became my favorite character.
So, for however long I got to have him, I’m grateful for the having.

When I saw “Snow” in SB with a blue bird, as well as Snow in FTL with one of her bluebirds, it was perfection. Just little things that are just there. The radio announcer mentioning Rip Van Winkle wanting a song to wake up to in 404 is the most recent example of a little thing like that that just makes me smile.
There are so many things that make me love OUAT. I love Emma and her story, this is the reason I kept watching after the first episode. At first I was really focused on Emma but there are so many interesting and well-written characters in the show! With the time I’m enjoying the fairytale aspects of the show more and more. All those jokes and references hinting to the original stories.
Every sunday evening everybody in my family is going to bed like ‘ Oh, no weekends over. tomorrow is school/ I have to work…’ and I’m super happy because I know when I wake up I can watch a new episode of OUAT ( and I’ll wake up super early to watch it even before breakfast 🙂 ) And when I’m home in the afternoon I know I can come here and read all your opinions and all the news and spoilers.
