In my workings with the server, I recently activated my security certificate on the server (SSL). Although it’s now deactivated, Chrome is still forcing visitors over to an address that starts with https and has the padlock icon in the address bar.

This is prevent non-https things from loading, like YouTube videos, the chat room, and other embeds.

For now, you can click on the “Open chat in new window” link. But the only way to make everything else work would be to use something other than Chrome, at the moment.

I’ll update this post when I have it fixed.

In case you want the technical details, I think this is related to to Google’s SPDY method for SSL. But it seems that once Chrome sees it, it assumes it’s always there.

I just logged onto the forum using Firefox and the chat is not visible there either.

    Safari works.

    FIXED!

The problem should take care of itself with a little time. But if your Chrome is still forcing you to use https, then watch my video below for how to reset settings for just oncepodcast.com (and not all of your other history).

Had to go into the settings and delete the stuff, but it’s working now, thanks.

chrome works fine for the site….. you tube shows up find

I however have always used FIREFOX because I do not like how CHROME FUNCTIONS ON MY COMPUTER.
FIRE FOX is without YOU TUBE PICTURES …. AND the chat room does not show up…

do you have an EASY fix for FIREFOX?

I looked at your video and thank goodness I did not have do do it … as CHROME was okay… and this was beyond my TECH capabilities.

Does the Firefox address bar have “https”?

I’m on Firefox, and I noticed it had the “s”.  Every page I clicked on, and even just typing the address, it appeared.  But I just clicked in the address bar and deleted the “s”, left everything else, and now the address is all normal!  🙂

(Although strangely the chat and all were working fine for me, I didn’t actually notice the https until I saw this thread!)  🙂

By now, this should be resolved. If you’re still getting redirected to https and missing the chat room and embeds, then change your address from https:// to http://. Make sure than any future links you use are also using http.
