    Once Upon a Time is stocking up on familiar characters in the second half of its fourth season.

    EW has learned exclusively that Dracula alum Victoria Smurfit has been cast as an iconic character who will first be teased in the winter finale. Further details on the role are being kept under lock and key, but she will recur. Any guesses on who she’s playing?

    Smurfit also joins the returning Kristin Bauer van Straten, who will reprise her role as the evil Maleficent later this season.

    Once Upon a Time airs Sundays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.

    Since we’re most likely getting Sleeping Beauty in 4B, and the actress is Irish (Sarah Bolger is Irish), I’m going to say maybe this is Aurora’s mother.

    That rumor about 3 Villainesses for 4B might be true after all.

    To be honest, I’m not really sure how Cruella can fit into the Once universe. The character from the movie wasn’t from EF, she was already from here. Most villains we’ve seen so far have a connection the Enchanted Forest, Cruella does not.

    I liked the suggestion earlier that she’s one of the three fairies from Sleeping Beauty, but I’m still going with Briar Rose, the original Sleeping Beauty and Aurora’s mother.

    Im pretty positive she is Cruella. Sleeping Beauty’s mother isn’t iconic enough, or the fairies. But just to be fun, I’ll throw out some other ideas:
    – Minnie Mouse
    – Mother Gothel
    – Charlotte (Princess & Frog)
    – Queen Athena (Ariel’s mother from Little Mermaid 3)
    – Hera (Mother of Hercules)

    I think Adam and Eddy would go with the original concept version song of Cruella!

    In regards to Cruella, Adam and Eddy actually suggested her as a character they would like to see on the show back during their 2013 New York Comic Con panel.

    Another suggestion I saw on tumblr was that maybe she’s Morgana from King Arthur. But I don’t think Adam and Eddy have plans to ever tackle Camelot. I mean, really tackle it.
