Most of this is basic non spoilery stuff about the costumes, but 1:27 in, Eduardo Castro mentions creating a new, more elaborate head piece for Maleficent that will be closer to the Disney animated film.

Its weird because in the storyboard for the fight between Regina and mal, her headpeice is drawn more like tradional maleficent. Maybe they are going back to that

I mean, love the purple dress, but this is the mistress of all evil were talking about here. let’s see some blacks and purples in her wardrobe. Though… that might clash with Ursula…
I am all for Mal having different outfits, but I just really don’t want them to just copy her design from the Angelina Jolie version. Give her different outfits, different headpieces, sure, but please don’t give her that black gown, and make horns sprout out of the top of her head >_< I like how different she looks in OUAT. I hope they don’t change her too much from what we first saw in S1

Perhaps her horns were lopped-off as some kind of punishment, and the new headpiece is only in a flashback. I just hope they make her darker/more interesting than she was previously. Also, I want to see some righteous anger for what Regina (her supposed ‘friend!) did to her with the curse.
