Slurpeez… I am soooooo glad it wasn’t just me!! I was driving to work this morning pondering last night’s ep and I was like, “I ship them? Since when!”
I did feel something for Rumple and for Belle. How could I not? The acting in that scene was probably the best of S4, by far. I actually was proud of Belle. I thought Rumple got what was coming to him, even though it was harsh. So, I’m not sure how I would categorize myself. I always liked Belle and Rumple as individuals, but I always could see their relationship was going to be unhealthy as long as Rumple kept choosing power over her. So seeing Belle stand up for herself and save everyone was actually really cathartic. Rumple, cowardly and crippled, was once again pulling at my heart strings, but then I remember how he would’ve killed Emma without remorse and had unlimited power at the expense of all those people. Rumple the man I adore. Rumple the dark one? Not so much.
