Day 1- Favourite Female Regular Character (Past or Present): Belle
I choose Belle because she is still a “strong” woman even though she doesn’t have magic or is a good sword-fighter/archer. Belle’s strength comes from her intelligence and empathy for others. Belle isn’t perfect, she’s flawed and sometimes her thirst for knowledge, desire to be a hero and her willingness to see the good in others is used against her and becomes her weakness. However, Belle doesn’t give up. She learns from her mistakes yet still maintains her positive outlook in life. She’s a very forgiving person but isn’t a door mat. She’s kind, she’s friendly and some of the more emotional scenes often involve her. She can be naĂŻve and too trusting of people yet is often the one to offer a genuine second chance to those who wrong her.

Regina. I think that second episode of OUAT definitely sealed me as an Evil Regal because of the conversation she had with her father where it clearly shows that this woman who we only know at that time to be an evil villainous witch actually has some kind of…different side. Depth. That there is something more to her. A bit of goodness in her and that something has happened to her to make her the way she is. I like to rewatch that scene a lot. Also, Regina can be extremely bad-*** at times. She’s trying her very hardest to be the best person she can be and I am proud of the strides she has taken throughout all these seasons (although season 2 was a bit slippery for her :P). She’s a hero in my book despite if she thinks otherwise 🙂

First of all, I love this idea, PoM.
My favorite Female Regular is also Belle. She is intelligent and good, and she is the character I identify with the most. Like myself, she is trusting (sometimes too much so) and believes that anyone can change.

Obviously Regina…..ever since the Pilot episode when she swung open those doors and crashed the wedding like a boss, I said….yeah…she’s gonna be my favorite. And by the time the pilot ended with her telling Emma off, I said Yep!! That’s my favorite!!! Ever since then…it’s been Evil Regal for life!

Favourite Female Regular Character – Emma. Granted, she was not my favorite at the start of the series but she’s really grown on me now and she’s developed so much since the first season. And I think what I love most about her, is how multifaceted she is. She can be vulnerable, flirty, adorable and fierce. She’s not your traditional Disney princess. Plus, Jennifer Morrison deserves so much recognition for her portrayal of Emma.
The thing with OUAT is that it has really great female characters in general, really. I know that’s one of the reasons a lot of people like the show. *round of applause for the women of OUAT*

I love her independence and that she always sees the good in others. She is strong willed and intelligent which is very admirable. She’s positive, kind, forgiving and embraces who she is. I’ve related to her from the start. I find her compassion and inner strength to be some of her most important qualities. Not only does Emilie de Ravin play Belle perfectly, she is also beautiful (If Wonderland characters count, I would highly, highly, highly consider Alice).

Day 1- Favourite Female Regular Character (Past or Present)
Regina, at all her stages, Young Regina being my favourite.
When I first saw Regina, I thought the actress was terrible-wooden (but I did like the character, sorta). At that time I preferred Emma and Snow. Then suddenly, Stable Boy came around and I got to see young Regina. It was then that it hit me how wonderful Lana Parrilla’s acting was (often better than Robert Carlyle) due to her flexibility, and I decided that she deserved an Emmy for her role.
It was first time for me to see an evil character try for improvement and redemption, so Regina’s storyline simply fascinates me. I think her journey out of extreme Borderline Personality Disorder (not psychopathy) has been both realistic and intriguing, and it is this which keeps watching OUAT.
Oh, and happy birthday to Regina, and happy birthday to me, too!

i love her story. I wish they’d bring her back and give her a chance at a relationship with Whale. i think she was once a regular right? Forgive me if she’s just reoccurring
day two: emma
ive never really liked her character in general. It just seems like she’s in denial about something or she has to grasp some new reality every season. I know most will disagree and put up good arguments I don’t have time to debate, but I just don’t like the character. She seems dull and boring to me.
