Hook and Ursula know each other and apparently something major went down between them that Hook doesn’t want to speak of? What happened between them?
My theory: Hook, when he was a pirate, killed Ursula’s father and somehow caused her to lose her kingdom

I agree. However, timeline wise, Ursula was still a goddess in Ariel which takes place either before or after Snow Falls and we know Hook was in the EF at that time. It’s possible this Ursula could’ve been named after that Ursula however with Poseidon as Ursula’s father, that would suggest that Ursula really was a goddess. So brought down to normal by Hook is the most likely, but timeline wise it doesn’t make sense.

I mean, if it were something completely and utterly terrible, she’d have A) Been surprised to see him B) Most Likely attacked him and C) Wouldn’t have just strolled away even if she did attack. Ursula is kind of snarky. She’d have words to say I assume. Especially if Hook “crushed her soul”. Why just walk away?
Also I remember the casting call for what we think is Young Ursula says that the actress must have a beautiful voice. Maybe that has something to do with it?

The only time we saw the real Ursula in the episode was when she had possessed a statue of herself. Since Ursula is still a witch, that’s something she could possibly still do, whether she’s a goddess or not.
