Well, that’s a recipe for ship wars ever there was one.

Go Henry! Boo Charming grandparents.

Peddler is the Author or the Sorcerer? Price they pay is Lily being sent to A Land Without Magic.

ModeratorWhat I find interesting is that Young Emma, an Adoption agent and an Adoptive Father are credited. Are we going to get a glimpse at one of the many families that adopted Emma, but would later give her up? Perhaps the infamous Swan family?

ModeratorStill positive that the Peddler is the Author. Lana said that we would first meet the Author without knowing that he is the Author. Seems to me we’ll first meet the Peddler when he appears in the flashback, but it’ll be revealed that he is the Author at some point. Maybe as early as the end of this episode. This is like when Pan pretended to be a fugitive Lost Boy in his first episode, and he didn’t reveal his true identity until the end of the episode.

Barclay Hope is the same actor who played Lily’s adoptive father. I do wonder why we’re seeing him, though.

Hm. Good catch. So maybe we’re shown when he adopts Lily (maybe as an infant, since Nicole Munoz isn’t credited), but where does Young Emma fit into this episode? Hm.

Hmm, maybe he started out wanting to adopt Emma but went for Lily instead. How odd is it though that he’s mentioned but the actress who plays Young Lily is not? Crack theory: What if Lily’s adoptive father is the Sorcerer? What if that is why he got Baby Lily instead, and that is partially why she has a star mark on her as a teenager? Maybe Lily’s adoptive father meant to adopt Emma but chose Lily instead because he saw more potential in her to become the next sorceress. Maybe whoever inherits the sorcerer’s hat gets the job title?
Blue Fairy is going to be in 4×16, leading me to think she knows way more than she’s let on so far. Here’s hoping August and Henry confront her.

ParticipantAnother crack theory: What if the Sorcerer and Author are twins, but nevertheless are “very different people” according to the Blue Fairy? That could be why one brother banished the other behind the door. Perhaps they were both very powerful rivals and had brotherly competition. It could parallel Lily being Emma’s biological evil twin sister.

ParticipantCan I just say it really bothers me that Merrin is credited for her work on Revenge. I watch Revenge and I barely remember her in it, primarily because it was like 2 or 3 episodes in season one. Before Once, I think she’s better known for her work on Alias.
