For the record, in regards to the official episode count, they’re counting 408 as two episodes according to Adam:

But we’ll have one break in the fall (AMAs)–also I’d lay some money on getting a 2 hour episode somewhere, either 5B finale or the 100th?

Yep. Already have the AMAs accounted for. Yeah, I agree either the 100th episode or the Season finale will be 2 hours. As for the Spring premiere date, we’ve consistently returned for the Spring the week after the Academy Awards, so that’s how I predicted the date.

They would need 2 of those if they wanted the Season premiere to fall on Mother’s Day. So I guess we could be getting 2 hours for both the 100th episode and the finale. Here’s what that would look like:
511 and 512 (100th Episode Special Event) – March 6th
513 – March 13th
514 – March 20th
515 – March 27th
516 – April 3rd
517 – April 10th
518 – April 17th
519 – April 24th
520 – May 1st
521 and 522 – May 10thWe did get a two hour episode twice last Season, so I guess this wouldn’t be too far-fetched.

I’ve seen other shows celebrate a 100th episode with a 2 parter before. South Park did this with its 200th episode, but it was a 2 parter that also included episode 201.
Just did a little housekeeping here. Adam has since confirmed that we’re getting a 2 hour night on November 15th.

Based on how he said that 5A is 10 weeks/11 hours, it looks like 508 and 509 are airing back to back for the 2 hour special. The 100th episode is now going to be 512, meaning that it looks like they are back to considering Smash the Mirror as one episode.
