Timeline Updated

Updated with 414 today. Still moving more slowly than I’d like, but it’s progress!

Just FYI, I’m updating the site timeline with 415-417 right now, so if it’s giving anyone any trouble, it’s probably because I’m messing with the data. Takes a little time to condense my spreadsheet into the entries on the site timeline.

S4B supposedly takes about 3-4 weeks all told, from the looks of things. The 9 Weeks captioning for the events of 417 (Heart of Gold) suggest that about 3 weeks passed from 412 to 417. I had to pad it a bit to get it even close based on internal evidence, but I got it to within 5 days or so.

I still need to finish timelining the remaining episodes after 417 and probably won’t finish before the premiere of S5, but I’ll give it a go.

Some points of interest:

I’ve set the FTL flashbacks from 415 (Ursula’s backstory) in 1963, based on her apparent age shortly before the Curse and setting her around 16 when she loses her singing voice.

The FTL flashbacks from 416 (transferring Emma’s Darkness to Lily) are set in February 1983, after the events of 413 and intermixed with the events of 104 (Cindrella’s backstory). It’s winter and early in Snow’s pregnancy, but I set it just after Ella’s wedding and before she realizes she’s pregnant. The later sequence with the mobile I’ve set several months later, in May, as Snow is more visibly pregnant, but before Rumplestiltskin’s capture/Thomas’s disappearance because the mobile was sent by Cinderella.

The FTL flashbacks from 417 (Robin Hood in Oz) I’ve set about 5 years before the Curse, in 1979, as it’s shortly after Robin and Marian’s marriage but long enough before Roland’s birth to allow Hood to establish his name. This could happen a few years earlier, but probably not too many.

Working on 420 atm. I might be able to get everything but Operation Mongoose written up before Once Time tonight.

I’m struggling with the timeline on the flashback in 420, where Cora comes to convince Regina to have a child. Important clues I’ve found so far:

–In the “Previously” flashbacks at the start, they include Regina showing Daniel’s grave to Snow. That happens when Snow eats the apple, months after Marian’s death.
–This is likely when Cora takes Henry Sr. to Wonderland, and Regina and Jefferson bring him back not too long before the Curse because Grace doesn’t age that much.
–The Sheriff of Nottingham believes that Marian, who is sickly, is still alive. Given his interest in her (and Robin) he would be aware of her death. However, she dies within a few days (in either timeline) of Snow and Charming’s meeting, which is months before Marian’s death.
–It is the anniversary of Daniel’s death, which I currently have set as May 4, 1966. That, as well as the flashback from 117 (Hat Trick), is flexible…within reason. It has to be after Snow’s winter birthday, which I’ve set as March 3rd because of the episode air date.

Right now, I think the Previously scene is there to remind us we’ve seen Daniel’s grave before–it’s clear this is after Snow’s banishment (and thus, as per the arguments in the 420 board, during Graham’s enslavement) but I think it has to come before Marian’s death. The people were rallying around Snow at that point, as that’s what got Marian imprisoned in the first place. Nothing else seems to contradict its being within the year before Marian dies except the Previously scenes, unless there’s something I’m not seeing.
