Guessing Emma is going to come out of the vault, hence why it’s there. Why she needed to go back to the vault, we don’t know.
I don’t think that is actually Rumple at all. It’s more likely the darkness taking Rumple’s form to coax Emma into giving in to her darkest desires. The black shirt is what does it. As far as I can recall, Rumple has never worn a black shirt.

I think he may be “Imaginary Friend Rumple” and an image/vision Emma’s subconscious has created to better understand/come to terms with the fact that she is now the new dark one.

Well it’s obviously not Rumple at all. It’s a question of it’s her subconscious or if it’s a manifestation of The Darkness. Personally, going with the latter.

Why is Emma even in the dark one vault? She didn’t even stab herself with the dagger like Rumple did in S3. And to get Emma out of the dark one vault, doesn’t someone have to die? A life for a life was the bargain Neal made and paid to get Rumple out of it.
