During a Tuesday Twitter Q&A, iZombie star David Anders responded with those five words when a fan asked about him possibly returning to ABC’s Once Upon a Time.
TVLine has since confirmed that Anders will in fact reprise his role as Dr. Whale (aka Victor Frankenstein) in an upcoming episode of Season 5, which premiered this past Sunday.

Given some recent pics, Ruby, Mulan and Dr. Whale all return around 508/509. 509 was supposed to introduce Merida’s parents (yes?) so I’m still betting that Merida and Mulan are the LGBT couple.

Still, even though he is probably my least favourite character it’ll be nice to see him again.

I’m okay if that’s the way it happens since more than a week without Blaine on iZombie would make me sad face.

I should note that iZombie only has 13 episodes this Season, and is already set to start airing next week. Filming for iZombie should finish by the end of this year, which should leave David Anders available for the majority of 5B’s filming.

Given that 508 is called “Birth” I’m sure your first prediction is right. Though, that timeline tho. (time jump OR Magic = rapid baby)
As for Red, I think her skills are going elsewhere.
