Reply To: The Official Doctor Who Thread: Born To Save The Universe

I accidentally missed some of this episode so I’ll have to watch it on catch-up. However I thought it was a decent episode and I enjoyed the lack of Clara.

My main criticism of the episode comes in the Clara scene where Clara is showing the Doctor a selfie of herself and one of her students. First off, Clara should NOT be taking pictures of her students on her phone, that is a big no-no for anyone working with children. Secondly, Clara should not be then showing said photo to anyone in her social circle without parental permission, though as I said above, she shouldn’t even have that photo on her phone. Clara is very unprofessional in her position as teacher to the point that she would’ve been fired 12 times over for what she does. She is a safeguarding risk to the children in her care. Clara has a duty of care towards her students and she is failing miserably. This in turn reflects badly on the school she works for as they are continuing to allow her to work there.
