-Merida using the cup/Belle to make Rumple Brave. After watching episode 2 (?) I complained on this forum that Emma should just threaten Rumple that she would kill Belle if he doesn’t pull the sword.
How about if Emma is stalling for time? Maybe she is bound to go along with the Dark One’s ambitions, but she has enough individuality left to do it as inefficiently as possible.
