Fates?

So there’s been a lot of question re: fate:
-Merida’s “if you could change your fate”
-Merlin drinking from the chalice successfully
-Nimue being allowed to drink from the Chalice where the 1st guy wasn’t able
-Mary Margaret saying “It was like Emma was always meant to be the dark one” when remembering that her vision of Emma ripping out her heart was in the Dark One’s hidden garden fortress
-Arthur pulling out the sword
-and so many more

With Hades likely coming, it makes me wonder if they really are going to be playing with the idea of fate, and if everything really was orchestrated from the beginning.  Merlin thanked the Gods, and was able to drink from the Chalice.  Was it him then, who was chosen by the Gods/Fate?  The Fates play a huge role in greek/Roman mythology.  What if the village was burned to bring Nimue to Merlin and start the epic battle between Good and Evil?  Emma as the embattled Savior makes more sense.  Merline mentions that she past the FIRST test… is this current one the second test on her Hero’s journey?  Mythology also shows the hero’s journey also including tests from the gods, i believe.  I think this points pretty closely to Emma being the ultimate savior/hero/etc. especially since she holds both light and dark.  It’s all too poignant that she has both, considering the creation of the sword/dagger that we saw last night.
