Here’s what I found the most intriguing from this interview:
“There’s definitely is a link between Hook and Merlin that will be explored a little further. I can’t say when, but there is something there to explore. Maybe we’ll have some pirate adventures.”
“You’re going to see so much more (of Merlin and Emma’s relationship). Like, you don’t even know.”
“There’s definitely more to come of her (Nimue). I don’t know what they’re going to include of what was filmed, but I know that there is definitely more to her path.”
“I consider everyone a hero, to be honest. Especially in this show, you have so many different characters, everyone has their own drive. What is good and evil? The show makes us think about it. Is anyone all good or all evil? What makes you who you are is your choices. I consider Merlin a hero, however, it depends on the telling. It’s never simple. Look at King Arthur.”
Sounds like there is a chance Merlin….might not be light? I mean, Elliot kind of hopped around that one. If Merlin were a straight up hero, he’d say so. I think this means theres some darkness in the sorcerer.

Maybe he’ll try to destroy Emma or something when the plan of reforging Excalibur fails in Camelot.

I mean, Hook and Arthur would make sense since they cast a Colin lookalike as Arthur but Hook and Merlin….? Merlin–stuck in a tree for *mumble* number of years, Merlin? And…Hook?
