I just feel like these writers have plans like this for the very end. I mean who just sets up a “black fairy” and sets up Maleficient’s father and doesn’t come back to it, ever.
Easy. Adam and Eddy do.
They’ve set up tons and never returned to it. I see absolutely no reason why Mal/Lily and Black Fairy would be any different. It would be more shocking to actually return to those plot lines now so far after the fact.
