ModeratorIt turns out that seeing the faces of foes past in the Underworld is the least of the heroes’ worries on Once Upon a Time. Emma (Jennifer Morrison), Regina (Lana Parrilla) and crew will have to go toe to toe with the Lord of the Underworld, Hades (Greg Germann), if they want to bring Hook (Colin O’Donoghue) back to the land of the living with them. And he may be their toughest adversary yet.
“He’s probably the most powerful villain we’ve seen to date,” Parrilla tells TVGuide.com. “He’s the God of Death. If he decides that you’re dead, you’re dead. He’s that powerful. It’s a really dangerous place to be.”

Keymaster“He’s the God of Death
Is Lana giving her opinion or is she telling us that the ONCEiverse is going to call him a god?

This would be wrong on so many levels and would be extremely selfish of Emma to let it happen. She would deprive two children of their father just so that she could get her pirate back. If Robin dies because of Emma’s decision to go to the underworld to retrieve Hook then his death should be on Emma’s conscience forever.

ParticipantI don’t really get this part:
The heroes don’t have long to be playing chess with Hades either. The longer they stay in the Underworld, the greater the chance of them getting stuck there. “The Underworld is not Hell. It’s purgatory,” Parrilla says. “You’re in this limbo state. Everyone is warning them to leave because Hades wants to keep all the souls that are down there. If you don’t get out quickly you can end up trapped down there as well.”
Why would the length of time they’re down there matter? Surely, just being there is risk enough, but what does duration of time have to do with the danger?

Duration of time matters because they have no idea who they are tangling with here, and are super unfamiliar with what Hades is all about and what his motives are. So whenever you are in a situation like that, you want to get out of that situation as soon as possible. They do not belong there. They are not dead. The longer they stay, the more likely they will trifle with the dead souls who hate them and the God of the Dead himself. If they just go in, get out, they can take away as much of the unknown as possible by not engaging anyone. I think it’s more common sense than the idea that there is a specific reason they need to spend as little time there as possible.

You’d think seeing what her mother did/cost Regina would make Emma forever cautious not to make the same mistake….she managed to weasel herself out of the whole bringing back Marian/Zelena fiasco, but this….I don’t know what could save her from this.
