The Land of Bright and Fluffy Clouds is really Olympus. Good or not good??? I really wish they had kept it vague. If everyone goes to Olympus after completing their unfinished business and moving on to a better place, are they gods now??

Also, there are definitely gods in the ONCEiverse now. How does that hold up with seeing the Holy Grail in 5A? How does the appearance of definitive gods change the nature of the show, if at all?

    I don’t like it.

I wish they would have kept it vague and generic instead of putting an actual name to it and telling us specifically this is what awaits the “Good” dead. So now people from all across the globe, or every culture dies and goes to Olympus to be with the greek gods? Or is it just the people of the Enchanted Forest? Are there other gods and other “heavens”? It just doesn’t sit right with me, personally. I prefer the generic good place of the dead.

Yes this is the one that bothers me a lot. It needs to be more generic in order to fit every mythology and culture they’ve introduced in their show: Mulan’s fictional China, Agrabah? Neither of those would give two cents about Olympus.

I guess Olympus is like Heaven, and I can’t think of any way for Adam and Eddy to combine both Greek Mythology and Christian/Catholic Religion without it getting all confusing so they probably should have just had Merlin drink from an enchanted river instead of the Holy Grail, and just stuck with the Greek.

We have confirmation Hades is Zeus’s brother, so Poseidon must also be their brother….which would make Ursula and Hercules cousins. The ultimate happily ever after is being able to live in Olympus I guess.

Easy. You don’t name it. Or you call it something vague like the land of happily ever afters; the better place (which is what they were doing in 512). You don’t name it.

Even if they had to give it a name, they had another name from Greek Mythology totally available to them: the Elysian Fields (also called Elysium), which essentially is Heaven. Olympus is supposed to be solely for Gods.

I am wondering if I am the only one who didn’t think that Olympus was the “better place”. Herc and Meg see the glow that Henry Sr walked into to reach a better place but it then dissolves before they enter it to reveal Olympus. It seems to be that Olympus is a very special 3rd option that the ledge presents to demigod heroes whom finish their business while in the underworld, along the same lines as in the traditional Greek myths that the Isle of the Blessed is like the gated community of Elysium for the greatest of heroes.

But Meg went with him. She wasn’t a demi-god so far as we know. Even in the Disney film, Meg was not allowed to come to Mt. Olympus.

I thought that this better place only revealed itself as Olympus to Hercules, since he was a demi-god who had to complete 12 labors. Once Hercules had defeated the Cerberus, he then got to join his dad on Mount Oympus. Maybe Meg got to go with him, because she’s Herc’s love interest now.
