With Emma and Regina stuck in the wish realm and our heroes coming one step closer to the grim fulfillment of the prophecy, EW has decided it’s time to put Once Upon a Time executive producers Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis in The Hot Seat, where they have the option of answering your questions from Twitter with “Yes,” “No,” or “Can’t say.” Get the scoop below:

KITSIS: No. Never. That’s what makes it awesome.
Well. At least that’s a definitive answer.
Are we ever going to find out the meaning behind Emma’s wrist tattoo?
KITSIS: No
Man, the definitive answers with this Hot Seat are…interesting.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"December 20, 2016 at 3:17 pm #332255MichaelBlockedReally upset about the origin of Emma’s tattoo not being ever shown. I hope that was just about this season and not the entire series.
What do we need a million flashbacks to Regina’s time as EQ, and we get barely any for Emma the titular character?
Also this whole thing reads to me that they don’t know yet if it’s the last season or not. Which at the time made sense, seeing as this took place the first week of December.
If it’s the final season there’s gonna be a wedding, if it isn’t it’ll be held back till next season and they’ll just get CS engaged by the end.

"I offended you with my opinion? Ha, you should hear the ones I keep to myself".

I was surprised by that one. Usually we get a “can’t say” on that.

I’ve gotta say even though the ratings still say otherwise, reading this I got the vibe that this is the last season and A&E have been told. So many of the usual “Can’t say”s or “Maybe someday”s have suddenly turned into definite “No”s. It’s just odd.

I didn’t get that, but I did get that they’re definitely winding down. They’ll probably get a final 7th shortened season.
They likely don’t know yet.

That was my impression too. I don’t recall them giving so many definite “No” answers before!

They only said no twice. To ever finding out Gold’s first name and the tattoo. The tattoo may not be important to the story they’re telling and so they know it’s not something they will ever get to. It’s unfortunate especially cause in the past the writers and JMO said we would find out why she got the tattoo. Maybe it’s just a detail that we’ll never get to in the remainder of the show. Which probably at most has the rest of this season plus however many episodes S7 will have.
