Snow White and Rose Red

So I just saw this video saying that there is a movie in the works about Snow Whites lesser known sister Rose Red and I almost had a fit. (I know it’s a silly thing to get worked up about) But the fact that the creators did enough research to find the name ‘Rose Red’ but not enough research to discover that She is not the sister of the Snow White that eats the poison apple just bugs me.

Snow White and Rose Red have a completely different story to ‘Princess Snow White’

The reason Princess Snow and Rose Reds sister share the same name is because back then Snow White was a popular fairy tale name. It was like Gwen in the Arthurian Legend – Arthur’s Wife Gwenavear, Merlin’s Wife Gwendolyn, Merlin’s lesser known sister Gwyneth.

Like I said earlier I know its a silly thing to nit pick over but they are clearly trying to bring in elements of original fairy tales but aren’t doing the proper research, and that just annoys me.
