Gideon is sending Hook out of Storybrooke even though Hook was moments away from returning to Emma. Why does Gideon need Hook out of town? Where is he sending the pirate? And how will Hook get home?
I think Gideon wants Hook out of town because that will upset Emma, and maybe make her careless and therefore easier to defeat? Captain Nemo stated that they don’t have any set plans for the sub so I guess wherever it is needed. Although Gideon again shows that he is not truly evil because all he really did is send Hook on a journey he could of easily killed him and didn’t.
My only thought is that Gideon believes Hook could save Emma with TLK if he (Gideon) did kill her/take her power/something else.
its a total setup for a CS TLK which will break whatever curse Giddy has in store. So hes trying to prevent that.

I agree with the true love’s kiss theory. It is also possible that Hook knows the Black Fairy. But true love’s kiss seems most likely since Gideon seem to be only focused on Emma.
Because they’re true love. And love is strength. So obviously Gideon wants Emma’s true love out of the way, hence why Hook had to go. Cause it’s all about damaging and weakening Emma’s mental strength.
Then why wouldn’t he want Henry away as well?
"All your questions are pointless"
That is true about Henry. I am not sure that the writers remember stuff like that half the time. I still don’t get why they haven’t tried to have Emma kiss Snow and Charming. I still think they are waiting to do a true love’s kiss even though there is nothing about Emma and Hook’s relationship that would suggest that would work.
Although Gideon again shows that he is not truly evil because all he really did is send Hook on a journey he could of easily killed him and didn’t.
Hook is no good to Gideon dead. Hostages are useful, martyrs are dangerous. Don’t take away everything your enemy has to lose; leave something by which she can be manipulated. At the very least, Emma will now be distracted and won’t be able to focus on fighting Gideon. Gideon might also need Hook for a later stage of the plan.

That is not what was said though. I think Gideon said something like you can’t be here if i am going to do what i plan to do, like Hook needs to be out of the way. I don’t think he is just trying to cause Emma to be distracted or holding Hook a hostage considering he is sending him to whatever realm Aladdin and Jasmine are in.
It may be that nothing comes off it, but Emma being annoying about it for an episode, but that would be inconsistent with the dialogue.
