No of course not, but that is what he was planning on doing from the very start. He can sit there and tell Archie and Nemo that he wants to do the right thing, but in the end he didn’t.

UM, the MURDER of her grandfather! This part of the episode really got under my skin. You have Hook who is going around not wanting to deal with the consequences of his actions (which is classic unchanged Hook) and you have Emma only caring about how this effects HER (which has been Emma for the last couple of seasons) She just assumes that David and Snow are going to automatically forgive him? Guess what Emma, David has feelings too and would have every right to never like Hook again.
How can Hook make amends?
Well, Hook could start being honest. He should go over to David explain what happened and ask for forgiveness. Then he should ask for forgiveness from Emma for keeping such a secret from her and trying to destroy the evidence of it. He can then work incredibly hard for a very long time to try and regain trust and respect from both David and Emma. This is not what is going to happen, but should

Yes, he has a right to know who killed his father and would want to know. He has the right to decide to forgive or not forgive Hook for doing this. When we don’t tell David, we may take away that pain but we also take away his decisions to forgive
