And here’s hoping this means they’re going to give her plenty to do, instead of being mostly in the background. It’s nice that the Season 7 main cast definitely has more diversity than previous Seasons.
Tiana is one of my favorite princess next to Ariel and Moana.

I’m hoping this means they’re just using the movie as inspiration rather than doing “after the movie events” like what they did with Frozen and Brave – I don’t like that.
I’m absolutely here for this! Tiana is one of the most underrated princesses, and it’s about time she gets her time to shine!

i think that is what they are doing, they are telling the story after the movie, just like they are doing new Cinderella spin off and like they are doing what happened to Sb characters after, in fact maybe in this version, somethings chanced from the original movie, I mean they said already that this new realm where Henry is, has different versions of the stories, so I expect the princess and frog continuation to be different from how the movie ended.

Sounds like ABC has finally listened to a valid critique of the show and done something about it. Making the main cast more diverse is hopefully a step in the right direction if not a bit late in the game.

I worry that the changes will just be superficial though and the writing will still be just as bad.
