Tonight we met Jack who is also Nick in HH. How do he and Henry really know each other? What happened between them? Is he really Lucy’s father? Is he a good guy? And will he cause a “bizarre love triangle” between Henry, Cinderella, and himself?

Well let’s hope not, because I might actually root for Nick/Jack rather than Henry as I feel Henry and Cinderella have very little chemistry.

It is one thing if Ella has a child and Henry enters their lives and becomes part of the family. It is a whole other thing if Ella somehow gets pregnant with this guys baby and then they break up or just who knows. I think it could get really messy that way and Ella already can be pretty unlikable at times.
I am really wondering what happened to Ella, which is interesting. Why is she so depressed? What happened in her past? But they need to make us be invested in her and in Henry if they are going to do something wonky with the paternity. This problem exists because Ella is not the main character, so she isn’t getting enough screen time, and has not gotten enough development. It was very different with Emma in the early seasons where almost everything was shown from her perspective.

lol I love Henry/Ella but that first scene between Henry and nick had some chemistry….but then it was weird because before they showed him in the FTL I was thinking he was actually grown up Baby snowflake.
But yeah, no, I don’t trust this guy but god I love this actor (he was on true blood…one of my favorite characters of the final season. Ended up paired with one of my fave characters) so yeah, I enjoyed seeing his face here even tho I know it’s gonna be evil eventually

Nick seems around the same age as Henry. Neal couldn’t be anymore than 10 or so by this point. Or who knows because the timeline is so screwed up.

Yes, there will be a love triangle.
I felt more chemistry between Jacinda and Nick than I ever have between Jacinda and Henry. Despite that though, Nick being Lucy’s father could be just a cursed memory thing though for both Jacinda and Nick/Jack that Ivy built into the curse. Afterall, Ivy needs a back up plan to keep Jacinda and Henry apart.
As for whether he is a good guy or not…..I think Belfry or Ivy may have threatened him in some way, leading him compromise the Resistance. I think he is just an ordinary guy but weak in character.
Edit: And Henry will be Lucy’s father, not Nick.

November 18, 2017 at 10:17 am #344683RumplesGirlKeymasterUnless Nick is going to be playing a larger non romantic role later, I think his character is basically unnecessary. The silly love triangle in s1 was silly enough because we all knew they were cursed and that Snowing were true love and Kathryn/David were not really married. It’s the same situation here: HenElla are clearly TL and married and going to be together. The love triangle aspect is redundant and, frankly, this show does NOT do love triangles well. Ever.
Also, the show is already stuffed to the rafters with characters and while some of those are proving pretty interesting–Drizella, Alice, Henry, Roni–a lot of them need more development and room to breathe, like Victoria who’s about as interesting as wall paper, IMO. Adding another character who’s only purpose, thus far, is to drive a wedge between the main male character and the main female character is…nonsense.

I didn’t get the impression he was from our land. Didn’t he say he wanted Henry to tell him more about Star Wars or something? It sounded like he was unfamiliar with it, so I guessed Henry met him when he first arrive and they became partners in crime for awhile and just met back up.
I think this character has the potential to be fun if they play him up as Henry’s awesome second in command. But if they make him the Hook to Henry’s Neal, I will hate it. This episode gives that impression. But here’s hoping.

But I kind of like the idea that he’s Lucy’s real father and Ella’s real true love… basically I think I’m trying to push Ella out of the story in my head.
There’s no way they’re going to do that. The show obviously views Henry and Ella as some kind of epic romance that no giantkiller could possibly break up. I mean their necklaces glowed! They’re obviously meant for one another. LOL
