ParticipantRegina (speaking about Mary Margaret): “You’re very sweet, David. But you’re also wrong. Evil doesn’t always look evil. Sometimes it’s staring right at us, and we don’t even realize it.” (Heart of Darkness)
Read this spoiler…look for shock, shocked…good feelings etc. Think Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein. Then read my post. http://storybrookemirror.tumblr.com/post/170583363011/once-upon-a-time-to-end-after-season-7
Adam and Eddie have said over and over in interviews that they are staying within the DNA of the story when it comes to Season 7.
My End Game Theory:
She was not born Snow White. She was made Snow White…and under the white is a monster.Mary Margaret Blanchard
Mary- bitter
Mar- damage
Gar- turret
Blanch- to make white (whitewash)
Ard- compass pointChimera
Chi- marked with an X
Mera- female horse, broad dark areas of the moon, body of water, night-goblin, incubus, nightmare, monster, demoness of the corpses, “queen of the nightmares.”Mary Margaret playing hangman…”I almost hung on my own name.”
And then there is her name…Snow. One meaning of the word, Chimera, is harshest snow/winter.
Chimera…Chimeras are loosely known as a combination of animals stitched together to form a hideous, mismatched monster. Chimera today means, “A fabled fire-breathing monster of Greek mythology, with a lion’s head, a goat’s body, and a serpent’s tail (or according to others with the heads of a lion, a goat, and a serpent), killed by Bellerophon” (“chimera | chimaera, n.” OED Online). The word has undergone ample evolution throughout history, from the Greek “khimaira”, to the Latin “Chimaera” and later “chimera”, to the Old French “chimere”. It was conceived to personify the winter (harsh snow and winter) the word for which being “kheima”(“chimera”. Online Etymology Dictionary).
Snow got her name from being born in the harshest of winters. Johanna, “You’ll always be Snow to me.”
Snow/Stitched, Mashed together Monster. Did it happen because of Science? Magic? Both? Wishes? Fairies? Curse? Her DNA?
How did young Snow’s evil green eyes become brown and then green again? We’ve seen yellow eyes…lavender eyes…is she the green-eyed monster? The book, Regina Rising, which is canon, clearly states that young Snow’s eyes are brown.
Somehow they were able to blanch Chimera Snow… the marred one…cloak her…have someone else absorb her darkness.
Regina…beautiful, clothed in white…became darker and darker the longer she was with Snow…her emotions became more and more unstable. Emma became darker and also emotionally unstable. She is almost a shell of the person we first knew.
Could Snow manipulate thoughts, emotions, actions? Did she take hearts? Could she plant a seed of thought into someone’s mind? Could she manipulate someone’s dreams? When Regina had the vision of choking young Snow with her necklace…did Snow plant that vision?
Snow did not like to share affection. Whoever gets close to her lost the ones they loved…Red’s boyfriend and her mom, Charming’s mom, Emma’s Graham, Neal etc.
How did Snow get whitewashed? Did someone like Regina or Emma slowly absorb her dark emotions and actions?
Snow and Charming…bottled true love’s magic. Hair strands wrapped together like DNA. When the smoke magic from their true love bubbled up from the well, Henry described it….it is something bad.
Snow has lots of knowledge about monsters…trolls…giants…ogres. She seeks out monster hybrids. Red the werewolf is her best friend…Dr. Frankenstein for a one night stand. And Charming…when he is riding his horse through the magical forest right after sunset (in the Pilot)..he almost looks like Dracula.
Over and over and over A&E have talked about the DNA of the series…so what about Emma’s DNA and Henry’s DNA…and baby Neal…
Pilot.
“A small flame kept burning continuously, as in a gas stove or furnace, to relight the main gas burners whenever necessary or desired.” Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein also known as The Modern Prometheus. Emma was trying to light Prometheus’s flame…Snow made Regina put down the dagger when Emma was trying to light it and was digging deep to push past the wall for memories.Good always wins. Mary Shelley’s maiden name was Godwin. Her husband’s last name was Shelley. Ginnifer Goodwin…playing Snow White marries Charming. His wedding clothes are covered with shell stitching.
Were Snow and Charming the two who escaped Hades’ Underworld? They had an empty apartment there. Regina’s Daniel came back from the dead. Emma’s Hook came back from the dead. Maybe Charming has too.
Baelfire wanted Rumple to go to a land without magic to neutralize the Dark One. Did the curse do that for Snow? Was this curse a blessing? Snow was pale in the pilot and she is pinked up in episode two. Why does she start to wear gloves? Is she hiding her hands? Do the tips of her fingers show signs of ripping or crushing hearts or magic? We read about stained hands in Regina Rising. Check out Johanna’s finger in the Queen is Dead. Something nasty is going on there. Check out her smirk. We’ve seen that same smirk from young Snow. Snow in Black walking down the aisle after her mother’s death (talk about walking through weird dark people) and also in black after her father’s death. Was she responsible for their deaths? “Sorry I’m late”…we’ve heard those words from Snow.
She had that dark fairy dust. She had no trouble crushing Charming’s heart, casting the curse to get back to Emma.
She was Snow White and the Huntsman…killing, skinning and wearing animals.
Is she also Beauty and the Beast?
Regina to Snow, “I was always the queen. It was you who added evil to my name.”At times it looks like darkness, spots and bumps start to bleed through on Snow…especially when seen in the light. “Step into the light…take off those ridiculous robes.”
The OUAT magazine has a quote from Ginnifer Goodwin saying that Snow was only a mom right after Emma was born…that Snow is not maternal…did not have maternal feelings. So why the longing for Emma? Surely she didn’t need her own baby to help absorb her darkness. Why did Cora want a baby from Regina?
Chimera/Snow/Mary Margaret…Queen of Nightmares, Lady of the Lake and Child of the Moon. Regina’s moon necklace. Maternal? Sisterly? In Regina Rising we learn Regina felt both feelings when she set on young Snow’s bed.
And now Emma is pregnant.
Will Evil Monster Snow wake up and battle Emma for her baby?
How will they win the final battle but not kill Snow?
Will they each take a portion of the darkness, diluting the power of darkness thus defeating evil but not destroying Snow.End Game
Snow White
Ground Zero*One last note. I’m hoping to learn the reveal about all the hidden faces in the trees and wooden floors and planks of wood. I can’t remember if I did a post here or a tweet but the faces are everywhere. Is that why it is called the enchanted forest? I know Ginnifer Goodwin did one if the late night shows where she was wearing a dress that looked like a tree. I’ve wondered of she was a wood nymph. I just saw spoilers that we have a wood nymph story coming up. I’m excited about that because Mary Margaret’s apartment is all about white-washed wood.

“You would think it would be easy to be Snow White’s mother, but perhaps Snow White wasn’t always Snow White.”

ParticipantI’ve been going back and watching through the lens that Snow White was once a monster and it all fits…all of it. Here is just one example…I went back and watched Labor of Love…the episode with Hercules. Watch it through Snow White monster eyes. Snow falls into a pit…trapped. She is rescued by a handsome young man Hercules and then she learns he is a monster killer and has one more monster, Cerberus, to kill before he can become immortal. Cerberus is a sibling to Chimera. Watch her eyes and expressions. She lets him teach her how to be a hero and then she says goodbye. Right after he leaves, Hercules is killed by the monster.

ParticipantIn James Whale’s, The Bride of Frankenstein, Mary Shelley, the author of Frankenstein or The Modern Prometheus, is a character in the movie. The identity of the Bride of Frankenstein was uncredited. Instead of the identity of the actress there was a question mark both in the opening and ending credits. In actuality. The actress who played the character of Mary (Godwin) Shelley also played the monster.
Good always wins….Goodwin…Godwin.
Mary Margaret/Snow White…who does she seek out for her one night stand? Dr.Whale/Dr. Frankenstein. In ONCE, we are told Dr. Whale’s first name is Viktor. In reality, the character’s name is Victor HENRY Frankenstein. What is going on with Mary Margaret’s DNA??? What has Henry inherited???? I think we are about to take a turn we did not see coming.
Putting this together with Mary Margaret Truman Show type runner, Mary Margaret obsessed fan girl, baby munches, blind witch treating her like a celebrity when they were in the underworld, the new blind witch giving the kids gingerbread cookies, Snow White giving Ava and Nicholas cookies that match the shapes on Emma’s nursery wall…..and then throwing in the imagery of the video game Among the Sleep…911 Inside Job. The monster is Mother Mary…and will Henry turn too will he break bad?
Watch the secret ending of Among the Sleep video game. Look in the secret room for the clue it is an inside job. The monster turns out to be a drunken mother and in the alternate ending…the Teddy Bear drops the child into the pot to make the stew. You will never look at Mary Margaret holding the Teddy Bear in Snow’s nursery the same way again.
