So we’re actually (presumably) going to see the Seer’s prophecy to Rumple about the boy who leads him to his son being his undoing. Personally, I never felt like this was resolved explicitly so I’m glad to see it back in the finale and I hope it means Henry will play a role as “the guardian” in taking Rumple’s powers and allowing him to move on to be with Belle and Bae. Do other people feel similarly or did you think the prophecy had already been fulfilled?

I think the writers felt like it had been fulfilled but because none of the fans could decide on who exactly the boy was (because it was never clear in the writing), the writers felt safe in bringing it back in the series finale.

I agree with Rumpelsgirl. I, also, think the writers thought that they had finished that prophecy. It was Henry because he was in the drawing that Pan had. The problem being that Rumpel was still the dark one at the end of all that and so the prophecy was not actually fulfilled. That is why they are throwing it back in there trying to pretend that they actually have a plan which they do not.
