Lots of interesting ideas/theories about why the Golden Light wasn’t the breaking of the DO’s curse.
I have to wonder if maybe TLK isn’t a one shot deal per curse. Perhaps if TLK is rejected the first time around, the golden opportunity is lost. Again, just another thought to throw into the ring.
Considering that there is so much wrapped up in the history of the Dark One’s curse, the dagger and who originally created it, that they’d be remiss if they didn’t play on all of that drama. There is still so much of that part of the story to tell. In my mind, it has to play a part in Rumple’s redemption. I just can’t see that battle happening without Rumple at the helm.
I’m not saying that TLK won’t play a huge part in things, but I think the sounding of trumpets, for that last battle, will have Rumple confront the “ultimate evil” where again, he may perish ONLY to be saved by Belle with TLK. That’s where we’ll see a light so brilliant, studded with diamonds, enveloping Rumple, lifting, swirling & twirling him in the air, and finally laying him to rest at Belle’s feet. A real Beauty and the Beast ending with TLK.
Ya, I know. My imagination is running away with me as I sit here drooling rainbows; however, that’s how I see his story being played out. Happy or unhappy endings are ENDINGS. I don’t want to see anyone’s story end just yet.
