Happy SwanFire thought of the day: I was thinking about how Neal and Emma have been dancing around the issue of what they are to each other in the present day. Are they simply co-parents? Are they just friends? Are they something more? Remember in 3×1 and Neal couldn’t quite fill in the blank when asked who Emma was to him. “She’s my, she’s my, I don’t know!” And again in 3×9 when Regina told Emma she had everything, “You have this person,” meaning Neal. I think this uncertainty has been build up purposefully, because by the season’s end, we’ll have the answer. Emma and Neal are each other’s true love.
I agree. If they wanted to firmly establish SF as “just friends” or “lovers in the past but no more” they wouldn’t dance around it.
