I am definately going to have to stay out of the chat though. It was really fun during the Wicked is Coming special. And I can honestly say that 99% of the people in the chat are very kind and respectful but there is one particular person who is so incredibly immature, rude, and purposely disrespectful it is completely ridiculous. I’m sorry but I am way too old to deal with that. It has gone on way too long and that person should be kicked out. Sitting in a chat and announcing that you aren’t getting any CS vibes over and over but are getting SF feels out the wazoo when you know there are CS people in the chat is attempting to purposely annoy CS folks to the point that they will stay out of the chat. And if moderators aren’t able to tell that that isn’t any different than a CS person announcing in the chat “I don’t see how anyone could possibly see ANY SF in this episode, it’s clearly all CS” I’m stunned, it’s just a matter of wording. To CS folks, we feel like we are being told we are stupid, that we are being trolled and purposely trying to be annoyed and riled up so we will stay away from the chat. And continually bashing someone else’s ship and character and then following it up with “It’s just a theory, that’s what we do here” is like insulting someone and then saying “oh, but nothing personal.” I normally do not get bothered by things like this but this is completely ridiculous. When you have a large group of very active participants on this site who feel that they can’t participate in the chat because of ONE person that is a problem. I was really hopeful during the special tonight, then that person ruined it for me once again! I will now stop ranting.

Gosh I hate to do this on episode night. We’ve been having such a good night. There were hugs and cuddles and “forget shipping! this is our show!!” and then this was brought to my attention.
Ok. I want to say this part first. Sometimes it might appear that your mods aren’t doing anything to stop it, but I really want to assure you that Matt and I document EVERYTHING that is happening with this individual. And I have talked them. Matt has talked to them. DANIEL has talked to them.
The first policy in moderating is to REDIRECT. Get the conversation somewhere else. Anywhere else.Often times I’ll start posting very fast to get it off the screen in order to move on and show that we are NOT going to talk like this. If it continues, Matt and I have on many occasions called this person out. The third step is private DMs which I can assure you happen a lot.
I want all of you in chat. I want to talk about this show as we watch. The special was SO GOOD. And we all had fun!! It was great.
I’m not going to say much more because it’s episode night and Matt and I are discussing this but I want you to know that we HEAR you. We do. And something is going to be done. We’re not ignoring, we’re trying various methods in order to satisfy everyone because we all have opinions and thoughts we want to share but it’s about the vibe we give off while doing it.
I hope you guys enjoyed tonight. I REALLY LOVED the Hook and Emma stuff. So there ya go. One SF who really enjoyed that part. 🙂

And as far as “theorizing it’s what we do here” it IS what we do here. And having a theory is not the same as bashing. All theories are welcome here. So long as they are given politely and calmly. I agree it’s getting too much and Matt and I have said stuff, I promise. But theories are valid until proven otherwise. We don’t want to censor people and what they might think. I’ve come with thousands of theories over the past two years. These forums are for that. For putting your ideas out and then having the community respond. Feel free to disagree with the theory in question. I can’t tell someone not to share a theory just because someone else might not like it. But I do agree that you don’t need to beat people over the head with it.
